Taiwan's vibrant scene is teeming with inspiring stories. One such story belongs to a remarkable woman, a foreigner who defied the odds to achieve her dreams. This isn't just a tale of overcoming challenges, but also one of embracing change and finding solutions.
Our Commitment to Clients
At Del Sol CPA, we believe in the unique journey of each client. This case study exemplifies our commitment to understanding and addressing their specific needs.
Here's where our partnership took flight. Our client, an owner of a small-scale studio (行號), having trouble keeping her Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) and Work Permit due to her life planning, wanted to transition it into a limited company (有限公司).
Recognizing her needs and the limitations of her current structure, we proposed a strategic solution to secure her long-term residency and business continuity. By subtly altering her existing studio name and registering it as a new company, we ensured a seamless transition while preserving her brand identity.
Note: A 行號 can not be transitioned to a 公司. Therefore, please be aware of your choice when starting up in Taiwan.
More Than Just a Service
This pivotal moment not only marked the transformation of her business structure but also solidified our bond as trusted advisors. It's moments like these that define our commitment to our clients—a commitment rooted in empathy, expertise, and unwavering support.
The journey wasn't without hurdles. The complex company set-up process and document gathering were compounded by her personal situation. We responded by expediting the process, gathering necessary information, and submitting forms quickly to the MOEAIC.
Notes:
The approval of MOEAIC is required when any foreign nationals invest in a business in Taiwan.
The company set-up process will take 1.5 to 2 months under the condition that all the required documentation is gathered. MOEAIC review time varies, depending on the assigned agent.
Adaptability and Innovation
Due to the client's personal circumstances, capital injection presented unique challenges. While we typically recommend foreign currency transfers, she preferred using Taiwanese currency. This required additional documentation such as Taiwan individual tax return filing records as proof of funds, which can be more complex to obtain. We recognized her difficulty and helped her find an alternative solution that complied with all necessary regulations, ensuring a smooth process.
A Dream Achieved
Through overcoming obstacles and a long time collaboration of us handling her bookkeeping, accounting, issuing fapiao, VAT filing, payroll reporting, legal compliance procedure, and annual business filing, our client finally obtained her Alien Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC), fulfilling her goal of staying in Taiwan.
The environment with unfamiliar regulations can be daunting, but with the right guidance and partnership, challenges become opportunities. However, with the right guidance and a steadfast partnership, every challenge becomes an opportunity for growth and success.
We're committed to empowering foreigners like our clients, turning their dreams into reality in Taiwan and beyond.
From clientship to friendship, our bond with our clients only grows stronger! 🤝
Let us be your trusted companions on this exciting adventure in Taiwan.
